Two competitions, one number

SNBP runs on the rapor: your school enters semesters 1 through 5 into PDSS, and ranks its students by the mean of all subjects across those five semesters - semester 6 never counts. That ranking decides who is eligible at all, against a quota set by school accreditation: A schools send their top 40%, B 25%, C and others 5%, plus 5 points for e-rapor schools, per the SNPMB framework. Worked example: semester means of 85.2, 86.0, 84.8, 87.1 and 88.3 give a rata-rata of 86.28 - and whether that makes you eligible depends entirely on where it ranks inside your own school, which only your school can tell you.

Then comes the second competition, and here is where this page stays honest. The universities' selection scheme is official in its bounds - at least 50% weight on the all-subject rapor average, up to 50% on at most two mapel pendukung plus achievements and portfolio - but the exact split is each PTN's own closed index, never published. So this calculator computes the two numbers that are real: your all-subject mean and your support-subject mean. Any site printing "your SNBP score" as one final number is inventing the formula, the same way no site can turn UTBK raw answers into an IRT score.

The planner answers the question every grade-12 student actually has in semester 5: with semesters 1-4 fixed, what does semester 5 need to average for a target? And the quota panel turns "top 40%" into a concrete count for your cohort. Rising trends are widely considered by universities but are not a published formula - the average is what is certainly computed. For university-side grades afterwards, Indonesia's IPK system lives on the IPK calculator.

Questions this calculator gets asked

Which semesters count for SNBP?

Semesters 1 through 5 - grades 10 and 11 plus the first semester of grade 12, as entered by your school into PDSS. Semester 6 never counts.

All subjects, or just my major's?

The school ranking that decides eligibility uses the mean of ALL subjects across semesters 1-5. The support-subject mean (up to two mapel pendukung mapped to your chosen program) enters on the university side.

How many students per school are eligible?

By accreditation: A schools send their top 40%, B their top 25%, C and others their top 5% - plus 5 percentage points extra for schools submitting through e-rapor.

Is there an official final-score formula?

The scheme is official - minimum 50% weight on the all-subject rapor average, up to 50% on support subjects plus achievements and portfolio - but the exact split inside that bound is each PTN's own closed index. Any site printing 'your SNBP score' is inventing it.

Does a high average guarantee a place?

No. You compete twice: first inside your school for the eligibility quota, then nationally in your chosen program against everyone the other schools sent.

Does an upward trend matter?

Widely considered, but not a published formula. The number that is certainly computed - and the one your school ranks by - is the average itself.
