The UniMelb formula, from the source

WAM = Σ(mark × credit points) ÷ Σcredit points, to three decimal places. Melbourne's WAM page publishes the example this page reproduces: 76 and 67 in 12.5-point subjects plus 81 in a 37.5-point subject give 4825 ÷ 62.5 = 77.200.

The Melbourne-specific rules, all from the same page and the results page: failed subjects count at their actual mark, a hurdle fail (NH) is set at exactly 49, not-assessed (NA) at 0; pass/fail-only subjects and external credit are excluded. Bands are H1 from 80, H2A 75-79, H2B 70-74, H3 65-69, Pass from 50. There is no official Melbourne GPA and no conversion.

Beside it: Monash halves first-year weights across town, and the general WAM calculator handles the unweighted case.

Questions this calculator gets asked

How is the University of Melbourne WAM calculated?

Sum of (mark × credit points) divided by total credit points, reported to three decimal places. Melbourne's own example: 76 and 67 in 12.5-point subjects with 81 in a 37.5-point subject give 77.200.

What WAM is an H1 at Melbourne?

80 and above. H2A runs 75-79, H2B 70-74, H3 65-69, Pass 50-64.

Does a hurdle fail affect the Melbourne WAM?

Yes - an NH is recorded at a set mark of exactly 49 and counts, while an NA (not assessed) counts at 0. Ordinary fails count at their real mark.

Is there a Melbourne GPA?

No official one. The university describes the WAM as its equivalent measure and publishes no conversion.
